Minor League Unqualified RFAs / UFAs
Here's a list of all the guys that primarily played in Providence last year who either didn't recieve QOs or are UFAs this year. My thoughts are in parenthesis and shouldn't be taken too too seriously.
Unqualified RFAs
Matt Dalton (probs headed to europe)
Cody Wild (solid third-pairing D-man)
Zach McKelvie (doesn't really count since he's in the Army and can't get out of his obligation)
Boris Valabik (This guy should get a contract; he got injured shortly after arriving in the P, but looked good before getting hurt)
Juraj Simek (doesn't really count, he fled to Europe, that jackwagon)
UFAs
Jeremy Reich (PLEASE SIGN REICHER, CHIA.)
Trent Whitfield (DITTO.)
Anton "Qdoba" Khudobin (Off to Russia)
David LaLiberte (meh.)
Wyatt Smith (doesn't really count; he fled to Europe mid-season)
Kirk MacDonald (Lots of heart, good 4th line guy. Will occasionally throw down. On a line with Lane MacDermid and David Ling, he was money.)
Nolan Schaefer (Bruins gave up on him halfway through the season by loaning him to hershey)
Any opinions on who the B's should or shouldn't resign from this list, considering they'll all make not really enough money to hurt cap space? Personally, as a Providence fan, my must-haves are limited to Reich, Whitfield, MacDonald, and possibly Valabik. Yay rebuilding!

Providence
Needs some help. The Big B Prospect corps does well, but they’re surrounded by mediocrity. I feel kinda bad for Whitfield, he might be an NHLer in another system, but him and Reich certainly are a big deal to coffee milkers.
that’s so so true. The year Whits had when he came back from that achilles injury last year was bonkers. Lot of the younger players really look up to those two, as well.

Khudobin
is gone? Darn… kid seemed to have potential and could have been valuable for depth or in trade.

macdonald played at my college, surprised to see his name up here. 4 years ago i’d be surprised if he made it out of the AHL, but theres always a chance for a callup and a cheap energy player with lots of determination is a likely candidate.
when you talk about heart, he was redshirted for a year in college due to testicular cancer and treatment for complications, dude has balls of steel(probably literally).
honestly doubt he’ll ever see NHL time but he’s been solid for Providence, which is important too!

Does WPI even have sports?
And not sure, but I think I’d take Troy over Worcester…

I’m pretty sure we kicked their ass in Ultimate a couple times.
