If Thornton Plays, Who Sits?

From what I've heard, it seems like Shawn Thornton is going to be in the lineup tonight. But who sits? I don't think Paille or Campbell is going to sit, because they're just too valuable on the PK. So it has to be someone from the third line or Peverley, right? So it comes down to Seguin, Kelly, Ryder, or Pevs. Claude won't sit Ryder, so it's not him. It could be Peverley, but I really hope it's not because I think he's been great, so I'll count him out too. It comes down to Kelly or Seguin. Personally, I think Claude is going to sit the kid again, and I think it's the right move. What do you guys think? Who does Claude sit, and who do you think should sit?

I think Seguin sits. He really hasn’t been much of a factor since the two big games he had against Tampa Bay.

not that Segs is responsible for this, but we were 4-5 with Seguin in the lineup and were 8-3 with Thorty in there. Of course, the Flyers didn’t put as much of a fight as the Lightning or Canucks.

I agree with Seguin! That would get Kelly Pevs and Ryder back together and maybe could get them skating!

Does anyone know the source for the Thornton will be playing info? I can’t find anything out there besides journalists saying Thornton could play. Not one article cites any team source.

Honestly I just heard it listening to Gresh and Zo. They made it seem like it was a foregone conclusion, but it’s probably not confirmed yet. I do think it’ll happen though. Anyone else really confused why Seguin could be so effective for two games and then not make an impact since? It just seems really weird.

Tough call to go to Thornton. I know he brings grit and veteran leadership but it is tough to sit the fastest guy on the team (apologies to Paille). I don’t think Vancouver will be more reluctant to take liberties with Thornton out there.
