New AHL alignment and playoff structure
From the playoff standpoint, it's identical to the NHL system save for the best of 5 opening round. The divisions themselves are largely self-explanatory, but you'd think they'd have switched Charlotte and Abbotsford. Interesting that NY teams are in 3 divisions among both conferences!

Places Rochester shouldn’t be: the Western Conference. Lots of quiet animosity between ROC/Syracuse/Albany that’ll be lost now. As a native Syracusan, I still don’t care because the Crunch are awful, but it sort of sucks. Used to love watching Amerks games against local competition at the old War Memorial.
