DENÍK/Zdeněk Vaiz
Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask arrived in Plzen and practiced with his new team today, before giving an interview to the Czech media. He had no issues getting to Europe, and plans to play in a game by the end of the week.
In his interview with denik.cz, Rask talks about his reasons for choosing HC Plzen: his home country wasn't accepting many players during the lockout, and he wanted to try something new. He says he also likes the fact that Plzen is near Prague, which he's familiar with from his trip with Boston, and from playing in Juniors.
He likely won't play in tonight's game against Vitkovice, but will probably start on Sunday against Sparta Prague, Michal Neuvirth's team.
Also, the only word he's picked up so far is "beer." Right on, Tuukka.
