Bruins possible pick ups at trade deadline
With the possible absence of Nathan Horton or at least a 100 % Nathan Horton is up in the air the bruins should deffinitely be on the look out for a top 6 forward. If the lines continue to stay as is the bruins deffinitely a player better than caron or hamill alongside Krecji. If they are looking for a big body at a reasonable cost, David Jones from Colorado could be a possibility. It seems like the cost of Tuomo Ruutu will be fairly high but as a bruins fan I am completely willing to dangle Hamill and or Caron with Knight, Spooner and Koko waiting in the wings and one of the first two will probably be given the chance to crack the roster for next season.
I think it would also be in there best interest to go out and find a body on defence. Another Colorado player in Kyle Quincey although I still think it would be nice and go out and get another bigtime player on defense to have a very solid top 4.
What do you guys expect in the comings weeks?

And would cost an arm and two legs.
Also has one hell of a cap-hit (6.75M for 7 years)

Minnesota would literally have to be folding up the franchise to be giving up Kaptain Koivu

If we were hurting up front, which could happen w/the Horton thing, I’d think Ray Whitney might be a good idea.

And, obviously there are other old guys who would help any team, are on bad/bubble teams, but are still probably not available anyway:
Teemu
Iginla
Martin St. Louis
Doan
Don’t see Teemu going anywhere. Kinda like how Boston held onto Leetch at the deadline when they could have got something for him. Just a matter of respect.
Trading Doan would mean the absolute demise of that franchise. Just couldn’t be done.
Marty would never be traded either. Heart and soul of that franchise which has to view itself as only a piece or two away from being contenders again. Only way they part with Marty would be for Tuukka.

Don’t see Selanee going anywhere. He is one of my favorite players all time and would be a dream for me to see him in a Bruins uniform.

Bergeron for Selke.

It might take alot
But getting Chris Stewart from the Blues would be epic. Big body with good shot and has disappeared once he was traded to the blues. It is apparent the bruins need to take a run at a serious top 6 forward and a Dman. Make a quick trade before our next roady and tell the boys its time to bear down again!

The Blues aren’t sellers, though.
We need an upgrade on D way more than an upgrade at forward.
