Public Skate: Will Ryan Miller Leave the Crease Edition

The Bruins take on The Sabres tonight and it will be the first meeting between Ryan Miller and Milan Lucic after Lucic treated Miller like a forward. Miller missed the last meeting between the two rivals because of a concussion suffered from the hit by Lucic. Tuukka Rask will be in net tonight to try and earn some points to chase the Rangers for the number one spot in the East.

Have at it!

3rd man in. Clear as day.

Won’t be called of course, But it’s an automatic penalty and the textbook definition.

Our intention isn't to discuss this... it's to see if you can bleed.

by BobbyOrrsBastard on Feb 8, 2012 10:08 PM EST reply actions

Why bother having a clearly defined rule if it is never called? I mean, it’s not a subjective matter… it’s spelled out crystal clear.

Thomas shoulders some of the blame. Looked to me like he was going to pass it to Corvo but instead just left it there and Corvo wasn’t expecting it.

3rd man in doesn’t require a fight, merely an altercation.

Our intention isn't to discuss this... it's to see if you can bleed.

by BobbyOrrsBastard on Feb 8, 2012 10:29 PM EST up reply actions

“A game misconduct penalty, at the discretion of the Referee, shall be imposed on any player who is the first to intervene (third man in) in an altercation already in progress except when a match penalty is being imposed in the original altercation.”

Pretty sure that qualified as an altercation.

it’s games like this that remind me how much i dislike Boychuk. this team needs a tad of a shakeup before the deadline and i wouldn’t be sad to see him go.

by delta on Feb 8, 2012 10:25 PM EST reply actions

i just figured there wouldn’t be many takers for Corvo whereas Johnny would probably have more of a market. I’d trade Corvo too……this is all assuming we’re trading D for D obviously

by delta on Feb 8, 2012 10:27 PM EST up reply actions

Bottom Line:

It ain’t pretty, but in 3 of the last 4 games the Bruins have scored 1 or FEWER goals in those 3 games. You can not expect to win many games with that kind of productivity….
