Hitting The Links: Good Riddance, February Edition

I really think we need to have a caption contest one of these days.

Thank god that's over.

The Bruins have their busiest month ahead of them now, with 17 games in 31 days. There is only one break longer than a day this month, and multiple back-to-backs. Can they handle the intensified schedule? Hopefully they can at finish off with a bang, especially with a group of Chowder-ites heading to New York City and Long Island at the end of the month. (look at my stealth edit) (so stealthy) (PS, how is the planning for that going?)

After the jump, Greg Zanon gets lost, Mike Milbury and Jeremy Roenick yell at each other, and Milan Lucic speaks on fighting in junior hockey...

Bruins News

  • The Bruins are now fielding eight defensemen, with the addition of Mike Mottau and Greg Zanon. With the injury to Boychuk, that's only seven for now, but still, they're welcoming the logjam. [Enterprise News]
  • Greg Zanon spent his first day in Boston getting lost. [NESN]
  • The Bruins still have a lot of work to do post-trade deadline. [Mass Live]
  • They also know they have to be better, but that their heads are definitely in the game. [ESPN]
  • Johnny Boychuk skated yesterday but is still day to day. [Globe]
  • Milan Lucic balks at a potential ban on fighting in juniors. [Province]
  • Cam Neely directly spelled the doom of the Canucks' Cup run. Yes, they're still bemoaning that. This article is still hilarious. [Faceoff]

NHL News:

  • Ryan Miller got another shutout. How slim are the Sabres' playoff hopes at this point? [MPN Now]
  • The Blues are 4-0 on their recent road trip, and are still undefeated when scoring three or more goals. If they win tonight, they take over first in the West and also the NHL. [STL Today]
  • Sam Gagner was surprised that Tom Gilbert was traded. Oh trade deadline. [Sun]
  • There is currently no timetable for Jonathan Toews' return. Yikes. [Sun TImes]
  • John Scott speaks about missing Derek Boogaard, his once-teammate in Minnesota, and how weird it is to follow in the Boogeyman's footsteps. [Globe and Mail]
  • Watch Milbury and Roenick yell at each other over whether a hit is dirty or not. Awkward. [PHT]
