I'm finally coming to grips with the end of our season. For the past few days I've immersed myself in work as a distraction. On Friday, after crossing paths with a jerk Flyer fan ("another game 7 loss", what an a-hole), a day I spent mostly alone at the work site, I intentionally didn't hook up my iPod, enjoying the quiet and meditation. This is when I realized what a great job Dale Hunter did in getting the Caps to buy into his defensive system and how well his players executed it. Congratulations. The Phoenix-Nashville game last night also helped in waking me from my numbness.
To you all, thanks for being a great, upstanding fan site. For someone without a hockey fan home after last season, you've all been very welcoming. Even though I'm not the most prolific contributor, nor the most tech savvy, just reading this site has provided me with an always entertaining, sometime thought provoking, never boring site to revel in my need for a Bruins community.
I look forward to sharing the rest of this post-season and this summer's lay-off with you. And on towards, hopefully, another wildly successful playoff run next season (knock on wood). Thanks.
