For a game that didn't really mean anything, this one was awfully exciting, wasn't it?

It had everything - dynamic goals, big fights, bigger hits (some of the questionable nature if you're a Pittsburgh fan), fake penalties and more. But what might be the lasting mark of the game is the injury that cost Johnny Boychuk the second half of the third period.

Boychuk collided with Aaron Asham in the Pittsburgh zone and his knee bent awkwardly before he crumpled to the ice and left the ice with assistance, unable to put any weight on his left leg.

That may hurt the Bruins long-term, but we won't know about that until later in the week, assuming that Boychuk has to undergo testing tonight or tomorrow. It's safe to say that he won't be traveling with the team when they head to Ottawa on Thursday, but it looked as though Adam McQuaid's cut above his eye is healing well and he should be good to go soon.

Even with McQuaid back in, however, there will be a need for either Greg Zanon or Joe Corvo if Boychuk's injury is serious. And if it is, it's pretty easy to figure out who Bruins fans would rather see dressed for games.
