Doesn't it seem like just yesterday we were raising the banner and wondering how on Earth the Bruins would turn around a 3-7 start?
Well that was then. This - this is a different story. The Sabres come to town today for the final regular season game of the year, a game that couldn't matter less (and let's be honest, with Pittsburgh and Philly dropping the puck at the same time, there's a pretty good chance that some of us will spend more time watching that one) to the two teams involved, unless Ryan Miller has some words to say again.
In other news, the Pacific Division is still up for grabs, and with Phoenix beating St. Louis last night, it's a three-way race. And with St. Louis losing last night, the Blues are suddenly backing their way into the playoffs. Although with everyone in action today, they've got one more chance to tighten things up.
Remember that terrible thing that Ryan Clowe did on Thursday night? Yeah, he wasn't fined or suspended for it. In fact, as Puck Daddy points out, there's no rule against interfering with a play from the bench. And remember that brutal knee-on-knee hit that Brooks Orpik had on Derek Stepan? Yeah, he wasn't punished for that, either. Oh, but John Tortorella calling Crosby and Malkin whiners? Yeah, that was worth 20 grand, apparently.
