Hello Stanley Cup of Chowder,
This is my first real post, but I think I have some good stuff to add to an already wicked p*ssah website.
My first idea is to have two Winter Classics in 2014. East vs West.
The first match-up would be the greatest rivalry in sports, Bruins vs Canadians.
This game would be at Gillette Stadium, with the Bruins wearing their dressy Brown and Gold from their first
Classic, with the Canadians suiting up in the bleu blanc et rouge (blue white and red for all you non-french speakers out there) from the Heritage Classic against the Flames.
This would be a particularly great game because the Wild would be in the Red and Green with their two new(ish) superstars Ryan Suter and Zach Parise, and the Stars being in the old Minnesota North Stars uniforms. Minnesota lives and breaths hockey, so there would be no reason for them to not be in an NHL Winter Classic. The game could be at either Target Field for some spectacular views from above, or in TCF Bank Stadium, where the home of the Golden Gophers would play host to a terrific game, sort of like the game at Heinz Stadium in Pittsburgh a few years ago. One game could be early at around 3pm EST and the other could be a night game the next day at say 8pm EST.
Then perhaps the winners would play an exhibition game against each other at one of the victor's stadium.
MIN wins, 5-2
BOS wins, 6-1
BOS vs MIN
Gillette Stadium BOS wins 5-4 OT.
These are just two suggestions, and I welcome your opinions and comments.
Adam. (First time poster, Life Long Bruins fan)
