PITTSBURGH, PA - JUNE 22: Malcolm Subban, 24th overall pick by the Boston Bruins, puts on a hat on stage during Round One of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft at Consol Energy Center on June 22, 2012 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. (Photo by Bruce Bennett/Getty Images)

So as we all found out yesterday, Malcom Subban signed a 3-year Entry-Level Contract with the Boston Bruins. As he's 18, the Bruins can elect to "slide" the contract up to 2 years if he's played fewer than 9 NHL games. I expect him to slide for at least 1 year.

Just a couple hours drive north, P.K. Subban remains unsigned. This means the Bruins lead the leauge in Subbans under contract. We can cement our lead with one more. DO IT CHIARELLI

Highlight:

Pierre Mcguire nails the pick before it happens, he's pretty smart. The other guy says "I guess, sure." And that's how we got Malcolm Subban.
