Preview:
The mighty mighty Red Wings have experienced some troubles since their move to the lowly Eastern Conference. They've only won 11 games, and while they've managed to squeak enough loser points from their 14 losses to keep them in playoff contention (7), all is not well in the motor city. Jimmy Howard, "star" goaltender whom many Red Wings fans were clamoring to get a shot in Sochi, has not won since November 1 against the Flames, with an 0-3-4 record. Hilarious! The Wings have been forced to rely on THE MONSTER in net, which hasn't been too terrible, but....man, how the mighty have fallen.
It's also become glaringly apparent how important Pavel Datsyuk is to the team; he will not play tonight, fortunately for the Bruins. Neither will Todd Bertuzzi. Detroit is 2-3-5 in their last 10 games, while the Bruins are 8-1-1. Not bad.
It's looking like Kevan Miller will play yet again tonight, as Dennis Seidenberg and Adam McQuaid continue to battle injuries. The Bruins' Swedes wil have a chance to give perennial Swedish powerhouse Detroit a taste of their own medicine, which could be a likely outcome considering the streaks Carl Söderberg and Loui Eriksson are on. And of course, Rask is in net, because....what else.
NEVER FORGET:
Just Krug, getting stuff done as usual
