Preview:
TODAY FEELS LIKE CHRISTMAS. It has been a lot of days since the Bruins last played the Habs; the Habs are coming off a rough shootout win over the Devils, they've played a few games while the Bruins have been off, but that matters NOT AT ALL. Nothing seems to matter when these two teams get together; toss out all the fancy stats and the season history, the wins and losses, because these games are a war of their very own.
Having seen Montreal play once this season against a team that plays a similar game to the Bruins (yeah I drove to the Bell Centre for Blues/Habs, what of it), I can tell you this: Michael Bournival is a sniper that won't be on their fourth line for long. Their third line has a lethality similar to our own; Lars Eller is very good. Briere is as much of a joke as he's been in recent years. And their first line, although they couldn't get much done against the Blues, is what it is - a line that Julien will likely try to match Bergeron's line against for most of the night. Their power play and PK are both in the top five in the league. Their other PK is hopefully not going to make team Canada. Ha ha Canada.
Let's look to his brother Malcolm on this one:
What a smart dude.
The Bruins are coming into this one well-rested and hopefully hungry after a few good wins recently; they always talk about what an atmosphere the Bell Centre is to play in, like it's actual battle instead of just a sport. Hopefully that's motivation enough for them to pull out the two points. Adam McQuaid did not travel with the team to Montreal, so Matt Bartkowski - you're in, buddy.
If the Habs and Bruins were people they'd spend 2.5 hours pulling each other's hair then go make out in an abandoned warehouse
