Dougie Hamilton will officially be heading back to Boston to be checked out for the lower-body injury he suffered during tonight's game.
Dougie (lower-body injury) flying home tomorrow to be evaluated. CJ: "diagnosis on him was that he's probably done for at least a week" ^CS— Boston Bruins (@NHLBruins) December 9, 2013
Julien "more optimistic than pessimistic that Johnny may be available" for Tues. in Calgary. Decision on call-up probably coming tomorrow^CS— Boston Bruins (@NHLBruins) December 9, 2013
On the happier side, apparently Kevan Miller's injury is minor.
Providence source tells me he's heard Miller is doing OK, so that's good news— Mark Divver (@MarkDivver) December 9, 2013
The fact that Johnny Boychuk might be good to go for Tuesday is fantastic news - it'd be 100% preferable to have him in the lineup over a guy like David Warsofsky, However, it might be prudent for the Bruins to call up Warsofsky anyways just to have a seventh defenseman around for this lengthy trip; with the way things are going, you never know what'll happen.
