Deat is worth $600,000 at the NHL level.

The Bruins have finally signed intern Jay Pandolfo! No longer will he be just a pseudo-coach, hanging around at practices and awkwardly travelling with the team despite not being able to actually, you know, play.

From the Bruins press release:

Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today, February 12, that the team has signed forward Jay Pandolfo to a one-year, two-way contract through the 2012-13 season and then placed
him on waivers. The contract is worth $600,000 at the NHL level and $350,000 at the AHL level.

The 6'1", 190-pound native of Burlington, MA is a veteran of 881 career NHL games and has registered 100 goals, 126 assists and 162 penalty minutes over 14 NHL seasons with the New Jersey Devils and New York
Islanders. He has appeared in 131 career playoff games (all with the Devils) and has tallied 11 goals, 22 assists and 33 points. Pandolfo is a two-time Stanley Cup champion, having won with the Devils in both 2000
and 2003.

He set a career high in goals with 14 during the 1998-99 season and contributed a career best 14 assists during the 2006-07 season. He was also named a Frank J. Selke Trophy finalist during the 2006-07 season.

The 38-year-old played four years of college hockey at Boston University from 1992-1996, where he posted 38 goals and 29 assists in 40 games during his senior season in 1996.

He was drafted by the Devils in the second round (32nd overall) of the 1993 NHL Entry Draft. Pandolfo had been with the Bruins on a Professional Tryout Agreement since the start of training camp on January 13, 2013.
