Bruins vs. Leafs Game 4 Recap: MATRIX ALERT. GIF ALERT. OT ALERT. HAT TRICK ALERT. BRUINS WIN

David Krejci scored a hat trick and Tuukka Rask made EIGHT BILLION SAVES (ok, 45) to give the Bruins the 4-3 win in OT.

FIRST PERIOD

The Bruins came out and struggled in the first period, allowing the Maple Leafs to go up 2-0. Unfortunate. Boston outshot the Leafs 15-8 in the first period; the chances were there. The Bruins ended the period on a power play, and from there, things got REAL.

SECOND PERIOD

32 seconds in, Patrice Bergeron made his mark on the powerplay. Sick rebound, Reimer.

From there, the Bruins began pouring it on, and the Krejci Train took over. At 12:59, from Marchand and Chara:

Minutes later, Colton Orr took a dumb penalty (ORR FOR CONN SMYTHE!) and Krejci made him pay, putting the Bruins up 3-2.

Unfortunately, the Leafs tied it up a few seconds later, and Boston proceeded to have to kill two penalties to Gregory Campbell and David Krejci, which carried over into the third.

THIRD PERIOD:

The Bruins had a four-minute power play as Nazem Kadri high-sticked Chris Kelly in the face - and couldn't convert (I see your shocked face.) The Leafs actually had the advantage in shots this period, outshooting the Bruins 14-7. Zdeno Chara took a high-sticking penalty 13 minutes into the period, but the Bruins handled it mightily.

OVERTIME

Tuukka Rask made 11 saves, James Reimer made eight. The play went end-to-end so fast it was practically dizzying. But finally, finally, 13:06 into OT:

It came after Dion Phaneuf decided to play the body on Nathan Horton instead of playing the puck. Pretty dumb move. Not his first of the game, either.

Bruins are up 3-1. They come home to potentially close it out Friday. Leafs fans still haven't seen a home win in nine years, or felt the thrill of an OT win in about as long.

Feels. Good. Man.
