So it seems like everyone's predictions were pretty much right on the money. Pun intended.
The Bruins announced today that they've signed Tuukka Rask to an 8-year, $56m contract extension. The contract means an annual cap hit of $7 million.
Historically, long-term goalie contracts always seem to come back to bite teams in the butt, but Rask has been pretty decent the last few years. While some people hoped he'd sign for a slightly shorter team at closer to $6m annually, he probably deserves this raise.
