So I was checking up on the Bruins' page on extraskater.com and, as always, I stopped and looked at the player usage chart. (Sorry, I'm not sure how to embed an image.)
I can't quite figure out why Loui is so rarely employed in the defensive zone. My first thought was that it is a result of playing third line, but he starts in the offensive zone much more often than Kelly (obviously) and Soderberg. In fact, the only forward that starts in the offensive zone more often is Thornton. What is going on here? Wasn't part of the reason for getting Eriksson his two-way ability?
Hoping someone can clear this up for me. Thanks.
