Imagine the time and effort they could have saved by simply seating Patrice Bergeron onstage last night...

 Only Zdeno Chara returned empty handed, but the Bruins (and former Bruins) did make a strong showing last evening at the NHL awards ceremony.

  • It was a great night for Patrice Bergeron and Tuukka Rask, not so much for Zdeno Chara. Torey Krug camethisclose to a Calder nomination, and Claude Julien was the fourth candidate for the Jack Adams.  [TheBostonGlobe]
  • Consolation prize: Chara was named a first-team NHL star, as was Rask, Torey Krug was named to the NHL All-Rookie Team, and the Bruins appear to get the last shot to make a deal for Jarome Iginla before the draft. [SouthCoastToday]
