I've already spent too much time today searching this site for Camel Mud & Monster Series info, so I'll let you guys peruse this search listing and find what interesting stuff exists for tobacco sponsorships for the B's.
From the Bruins' press release: "Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today, July 11, that the club has signed defenseman Garnet Exelby and forward Lane MacDermid to one-year, two-way contracts through the 2012-13 season. Exelby’s contract is worth $600,000 at the NHL level and $130,000 at the AHL level over the course of the deal. MacDermid’s contract is worth $600,000 at the NHL level and $70,000 at the AHL level." Again, like Christian Hanson, Exelby is a depth signing to assist in Providence. MacDermid has an opportunity to develop into a good third-or-fourth liner down the road; good to see that the Bruins retain his services for the next year.
The Bruins announced today that they signed Christian Hanson to a one-year, two-way contract. The 6'4, 220 pound center from Glens Falls, NY started his career with the Maple Leafs, playing primarily in their farm system for the AHL Marlies. He spent last season with the Hershey Bears, where he picked up 10 goals and 11 assists in 52 games. Don't expect to see Hanson up with Boston, and if you do, the situation is probably pretty dire. He's a depth signing to help in Providence. Interestingly enough, the press release issued by the team directly states: " Hanson’s contract will be worth $600,000 at the NHL level and $105,000 at the AHL level." It's pretty nice that teams are revealing contract numbers now instead of saying that the numbers will not be disclosed at this time. (And yes, he is related to Dave Hanson, who played one of one of the Hanson brothers from Slap Shot. Expect the number of Chiefs jerseys at Providence games to bump up a little.)
BOS and netminder Rask agreed to terms on one-year, $3.5M deal.
@TSNBobMcKenzieBure, Oates, Sundin, Sakic: Like a BOSS. Big day for Oatesie!
"The Boston Bruins announced today, June 25, the expected roster for their sixth annual Development Camp, which will take place at Ristuccia Arena (190 Main St, Wilmington, MA 01887). Development Camp will open on Thursday, June 28, with the final session taking place on Monday, July 2. On-ice practices are open to the public. Please note that the schedule and roster are subject to change. The Development Camp roster features 29 players, including 15 forwards, eight defensemen and six goaltenders. The roster includes 22 players within the Bruins organization, counting Boston’s six selections at the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. Seven invites come from outside the prospect system and all play NCAA collegiate hockey."
Tim Thomas has waived NMC. Would have expired on July 1. Teams near cap floor have inquired.
Fluto Shinzawa on TwitterSo the Admirals are AHL champs. What would the Lightning, the NHL Affiliate, do? Well, change affiliations of course!
