Jordan Caron scored with 4:52 to play in the second period to give the Providence Bruins a 2-1 lead after 40 minutes of play in tonight's decisive fifth game.

Providence - The Providence Bruins are 20 minutes away from overcoming a two-games-to-none series deficit to advance to the second round of the AHL Calder Cup Playoffs.

Jordan Caron gave Providence its first lead of the game at the 15:08 mark of the second period. Carter Camper and Jamie Tardif were working behind the net when Camper dug it out and fed an open Caron waiting in the high slot. Caron, who played 17 games with the parent club this season, quickly wristed it high into the back of the net.

Bruce Cassidy's team played one of its best periods of the series. The Providence Bruins were forechecking aggressively and created numerous quality scoring chances.
