The Noon Number
60 - The total number of all-time victories by the Bruins against the St. Louis Blues. Boston is traveling to STL tonight to face the Blues for the 125th time in their history.
Fun fact - Boston went 5-1 against another STL team, the St. Louis Eagles, during the 1934-35, their only season in the NHL.

The Noon Number
48 - The total number of shot yesterday by the Bruins against the Minnesota Wild. While the 48 shots were a season-high for Boston, the team failed to record a single goal.
The previous season-high in shots was just a few weeks ago against Carolina - the Bruins recorded 47 shots on goal, but again failed to record a single goal. The Bruins were also shutout 3-0 by the Rangers last week in a game where they recorded 42 shots.
The Noon Number
715 - The total number of times the Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens have played, including both regular season and playoff games.
The Noon Number
6 - The total number of goals scored by Shawn Thornton over the past calendar year.
Not designed to pile on Scott Gomez (ok, maybe a bit a lot), but having a fourth liner like Thornton who brings a bunch of muscle while also chipping in on the offensive end makes his $812,500 salary seems that much better when compared to Gomez's $7.35 million deal.
The Noon Number
-3 - The plus/minus rating for David Krejci, who is the only Bruins regular with a minus rating for the season.
The Noon Number
3 - The number of Bruins currently ranked in the top four among plus/minus rating for the season. Tyler Seguin leads the league with a +33, while Zdeno Chara and Patrice Bergeron are tied for third with +27 ratings.
It's been touched on before in the space, but revisited again today after yesterday's game that saw Seguin finish +2 and both Chara and Bergeron +3 on the afternoon. Expanded on even further, Boston has six of the top 10 plus/minus players in the league, with Boychuk, Kelly and Marchand all at +24.
The Noon Number
2.9 - The goals-per-game average for the Pittsburgh Penguins over their last 10 games, during which they have compiled an 8-2 record. This is actually down a slight bit from their full-season average of 2.94.
The Penguins visit a Boston team that has allowed 3.2 goals-per-game in their last 10, a full goal higher than their season average of 2.19. While top-tier goaltending is undoubtedly one of the main reasons the Bruins have enjoyed a very successful season, Boston's keeper (Thomas or Rask) will need to step up for the team to have a change on Saturday.
The Noon Number
66 - The percentage of Dennis Seidenberg's goals this season that have ended up being game winners. In addition to his red line goal last night against Ottawa, Seidenberg scored the game winner in the 2-1 OT win over Phoenix on December 28.
Only two other Bruins are close to Seidenberg's efficiency when it comes to game winning goals - Benoit Pouliot (four of eight) and Joe Corvo (one of two) are both at 50 percent.
