The Bruins have scheduled a press conference for 2 PM ET at TD Garden to make an announcement regarding Marc Savard. GM Peter Chiarelli, Dr. Peter Asnis and Marc Savard are scheduled to speak to the media at that time. Joe Haggerty of CSNNE.com reported late yesterday afternoon that the Bruins are planning on shutting Savard down for the remainder of the season due to post-concussion symptoms. The press conference will be streamed live on BostonBruins.com and broadcast live on NESN.

Just days after it was announced that Bruins center Marc Savard would miss training camp with post concussion symptoms, Joe McDonald of ESPN Boston is reporting that according to Bruins team source, Savard could miss the entire season. McDonald quoted the unnamed source as saying "It's not a good situation. It's complex. Not sure how this will play out."
