Bergeron and Hunwick sit out Monday's practice

Patrice Bergeron and Matt Hunwick did not practice with the team on Monday morning. They were the only two players not in attendance at Ristuccia Arena in Wilmington for this morning's practice.

Bergeron left Saturday's game in the first period after losing an edge and then getting struck with a puck as he was lying on the ice. He returned to the ice after a brief trip down the tunnel to get looked at by the training staff. Hopefully, Claude Julien is just being cautious here and giving Bergy some time to heal. The Bruins, who have struggled to find goals this year can not afford to lose their leading scorer.

There has been no word on why Matt Hunwick is missing from practice. Until you hear otherwise, consider it a "maintenance day" for the defenseman.

UPDATE (2:06 PM):

According to Claude Julien, both Patrice Bergeron and Matt Hunwick should be back at practice on Tuesday:

"Hunwick is just going to miss [Monday] and he’ll be back on the ice [Tuesday],” said Julien. “Bergie, the same thing. He’ll be in Wednesday. No ifs or buts. It’s just maintenance. Is it due to the other day? Yeah."
