The Bruins evened things at 2-2 with 1:16 left in regulation when Zdeno Chara banged home a rebound in front of the net. The Bruins carried the momentum into overtime, but an untimely penalty by Shane Hnidy for holding seemed to take the wind out of the B's sails. After a scoreless extra session, they headed to the shootout, where the Predators handed the Bruins their 4th straight loss (0-2-2 in last 4 games). Blake Wheeler recorded the other goal for the Bruins, while David Legwand netted 2 goals in regulation and the game winner in the shootout for the Predators. Manny Fernandez made 29 saves in the loss.

Notes:

- The power outage continues for the B's with the man advantage (0 for 4 on the power play).

- I understand that Claude Julien wants to try some new things to fix the power play, but are Stephane Yelle and Shane Hnidy really the answer?

- The past couple of games have illustrated just how important Michael Ryder is to this team.

- What is the deal with Matt Hunwick? Is he hurt? Is he still sick? Has he found his way into Claude Julien's dog house after a bad game against the Flyers?
