The Boston Bruins selected Lane MacDermid, a left winger from the Windsor Spitfires (OHL) with the 21st pick in the 4th round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft (112th overall; acquired in deal that sent Andrew Alberts to Philadelphia). MacDermid is a big kid (6'3" 205 lbs) and a tough customer, who can also play some puck. He split time this season between the Windsor Spitfires and Owen Sound Attack. The big winger racked up 197 penalty minutes in 64 games to go along with 35 points (15-20-35).
