USA Hockey announced it's roster for this summer's Olympic Orientation Camp. Bruins goaltender Tim Thomas and winger Phil Kessel were among the 34 players invited to the training camp, which runs from August 17th through the 19th in Woodbridge, Illinois. The camp will help the coaching staff decide which players should represent the United States at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
Several players and coaches with New England connections will be in attendance at the camp in August. Jonathan Quick (UMass/Milford, CT), Ron Hainsey (UMass Lowell/Bolton, CT), Brooks Orpik (Boston College), Ryan Whitney (Boston University/Boston, MA), and Chris Drury (Boston University/Trumbull, CT) were all selected as players, while former Providence Bruins head coach Scott Gordon (Easton, MA) and John Tortorella (Boston, MA) were named as assistant coaches.
