Ward says goodbye to Boston

Aaron Ward was on Toucher & Rich on WBCN this morning to talk about his trade to the Carolina Hurricanes. Ward was a weekly guest on Toucher & Rich during the season for the past few years. Ward talked about getting the call for Peter Chiarelli on the golf course and compared the feeling to getting dumped by your girlfriend. He also talked about how he has mixed emotions about the trade. He is sad to leave Boston but glad that he is going to a familiar place. When asked about being teammates with Scott Walker, Ward said that he had a 25 minute phone conversation with him the other day and that there are no hard feelings between the two players. Ward said that he and his family plans to return to Boston before the season starts to visit with some friends in the area. Toucher & Rich mentioned that they are looking for another member of the Bruins to fill Ward's roll. Negotiations have begun for Thornton Thursdays.
