Word from the Left Coast is that the San Jose Sharks might be interested in free agent forward Phil Kessel. SLAM! Sports is reporting that rumors about the Sharks giving Kessel an offer sheet have started to heat up. The Sharks freed up about $5 million in cap space earlier this week when they sent defensemen Christian Ehrhoff and Brad Lukowich to the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for a pair of prospects. The Sharks have been rumored to be involved in trade talks for Dany Heatley, but many of the rumored deals centered around Christian Ehrhoff, which has led many to speculate that the Sharks have their eye on Kessel. There is blood in the water, but will they make a move?
