John Bishop of BostonBruins.com is reporting via the Bruins official Twitter page that according to head coach Claude Julien, David Krejci's chances of being in the lineup on opening night are 50/50.
Good news: Julien put David Krejci's chance of playing next Thursday at 50/50.^Bish
Krejci, who had offseason hip surgery has reportedly been progressing well and participating fully in practice. Although, Krejci has not seen any ice time in preseason games so far and will not play again tonight against the Montreal Canadiens.
I would place the odds of Krejci being on the Garden ice for next Thursday's game against the Washington Capitals a bit lower considering that he hasn't tested out the hip in a game situation yet. But then again...what do I know? I hope he is able to return soon, but I also hope that he is fully recovered when he does. David Krejci means far too much to this year's team to risk his health with an expedited return to the lineup.
