Bruins lose 6th straight as Sabres drop B's 2-1

The Bruins got Marc Savard and Byron Bitz back in the lineup, but it didn't help them snap their extended losing streak that has now reached 6 games after last night's 2-1 loss to the Buffalo Sabres.

The Bruins trailed 2-0 after the first period as the Sabres jumped out to an early lead on goals from Thomas Vanek and Henrik Tallinder. Milan Lucic was the Bruins' lone goal scorer. Lucic found the back of the net midway through the second period on a feed from Marc Savard. Ryan Miller turned aside 30 shots for Buffalo to earn his 29th win of the season.

The Bruins will look for a much needed win on Saturday night when they welcome the Los Angeles Kings to the TD Garden at 7:00.
