The Bruins have signed 21 year old defenseman and 2006 second round pick Yuri Alexandrov to a 2-year entry-level deal. Alexandrov has spent the last five seasons with Cherepovets Severstal of the KHL. The puck-moving blueliner posted 6-15-21 totals in 56 games this season playing in the very competitive KHL. Alexandrov participated in the Bruins development camp last summer and seemed to impress the B's brass. The one thing that I noticed during the development camp session that I attended was how good of a skater he is. The 6'1" 185 lb defenseman will likely play in Providence this season to adjust to playing a more physical North American brand of hockey.
