The Bruins make their way to Raleigh, North Carolina to faceoff with the Carolina Hurricanes in the first road game of the season. The Hurricanes are still looking for their first win while the Bruins are still working on clearing out the cob webs after a lackluster showing against Colorado on Monday.
Carolina has had trouble keeping the puck out of their own net. Through their first three games they have let in an average of 4.3 goals a game and starting goalie Cam Ward is winless with a below average .854 save percentage. One bright spot seems to be Calder award winner Jeff Skinner who currently leads the Hurricanes in points with five through their first three games leaving one to think that, at least for now, he won't be facing a sophomore slump.
