Bruins Aim To Topple Phil The Thrill

The Boston Bruins (2-4-0, 3rd Northeast) know that they're facing an uphill climb as the Toronto Maple Leafs (4-0-1, 1st Northeast) (sidenote: early season stats are fun) come to TD Garden tonight. Phil Kessel returns on another scoring tear, and the Bruins haven't been able to find a way to put the puck in the net.

Head Coach Claude Julien is hoping that changing the forward lines fixes that.

"It's not about panicking," said Julien before the game, "it's about trying to find solutions and helping those guys get out of their funks and they know that in the dressing room."

Dennis Seidenberg agrees with him.

"We're worried," Seidenberg admitted, but acknowledged that there's a lot of hockey left to play in the season.
As for shutting down Phil the Thrill? Seidenberg said that it's mostly X's and O's.

"He likes to find space coming off the wing," Seidenberg pointed out. "So our goal is going to be to keep a body on him and not let him get any speed coming off the wing."

Jonas Gustavsson is likely to get his first start for Toronto tonight after the Leafs rode sophomore James Reimer to a 4-3 shootout win against Winnipeg last night at home. Toronto flew into Boston last night in what many Leafs tweeted was a bumpy ride, but they didn't skate this morning.

Tim Thomas will man the pipes for Boston.
