David Krejci faced the media at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia after Game 1 rocking the 80's style Bruins warmup jacket bestowed upon the game's best player (as chosen by his teammates). The Bruins centerman racked up 4 points (2 goals and 2 assists).
During the brief media availability, Krejci reiterated that the Bruins are not thinking too much about their collapse against the Flyers last spring, saying "This is a new year, a season, and a new series". Krejci did concede that the wrist injury that occurred in the playoffs against the Flyers that ended his season last year was on his mind and may have served as motivation. When asked by Joe Haggerty of Comcast Sports Net New England if it meant something personally to come out and have strong game against the Flyers at Wells Fargo Center, Krejci admitted that it felt good to have a good game in Philly and thoughts of last year were in the back of his mind, saying "Yeah, kinda. I try not to think about what happened last year, but it's in the back of my head. You don't forget things like that that often."
I'm sure the chirping from the Flyers about his injury, didn't hurt Krejci's motivation either.
