There seemed to be a lot of confusion among the Philadelphia media on the Flyers beat regarding the status of Chris Pronger for Game2 . So far today, I have heard that Chris Pronger has a head cold, a back problem, a leg injury, a hamstring injury and a hand injury.
To add to the confusion, Flyers GM Paul Holmgren told Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer via text that Chris Pronger was "OK", leading him and everyone else to believe that Pronger was going to play tonight. No more than two minutes after Carchidi relayed Holmgren's message via Twitter, the rest of the Philly media began reporting Chris Pronger had been officially ruled out of Game 2 with an undisclosed injury. Chris Pronger out for Game 2 seems to be the general consensus now, but then again he could just be day-to-day "with hurt feelings" and give it a go tonight.
Update (6:35 PM ET): The Flyers have officially announced that Chris Pronger will not play in Game 2 for undisclosed reasons.
