We're excited to announce that Bobby Robins has agreed to do a Q&A with you, Chowder readers! Either submit your question in the comments of this post or tweet your question at @cupofchowdah and Robins will answer your questions in a post at a later date.
For a little refresher on who Robins is - he's a former UMass Lowell player (02-03 season through 05-06 season) who amassed 32 goals and 37 assists over his four years there. From there, he played a season for the Binghamton Senators of the AHL and a season for the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL before heading abroad to play two seasons in Europe; one for the Belfast Giants, and one for Jesenice of the Austrian league.
Upon returning to North America, Robins played the 10-11 season for the Bakersfield Condors (of ridiculous promo jersey fame, also the team that offered Justin Beiber a tryout contract) before moving to the Chicago Express in 11-12 - which is when he got his shot back at the AHL with the P-Bruins. He signed a one-year contract with the P-Bruins this summer. Robins is known for his fists - he amassed 150 PIMs in 33 games with Providence last season - but also managed two goals and 10 assists, in those 33 games.
You can read all about Robins' journey to battle addiction and his road back to top-level minor pro hockey at his website.
We'll keep questions open until Monday at 5PM EST. Ask away!
