Notes

  • The January 11th Yale vs. Harvard game will also be broadcasted on NBCSN at 8 p.m. Good opportunity to see Bruins prospect Rob O'Gara in action for the defending national champions.
  • The NHL Network regularly runs games from the CHL. I contacted them to inquire about a schedule but there isn't one available right now. Mitch Dempsey plays in the OHL for the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.
  • The NESN college hockey schedule hasn't been announced yet, either. They typically do about 10 games starting in January and will likely feature many of the NCAA prospects on the east coast.
  • You may recall that ESPN3 streamed KHL games last year. That is no longer the case; sorry Chris Bourque fans.
  • The following games will be available to stream on NBC Sports Live Extra (free to all cable subscribers that get NBCSN):

Friday, Oct. 11 - Western Michigan at Notre Dame (Colton Hargrove)

Friday, Jan. 24 - Northeastern at Notre Dame (Matt Benning)

Saturday, Jan. 25 - Northeastern at Notre Dame (Matt Benning)

Friday, Feb. 21 - Boston University at Notre Dame (Matt Grzelcyk)

  • Matt Benning's team, Northeastern University, streams all of its home games in HD on its website for free. I suggest you take advantage of an unparalleled service. You may even see me in the crowd.
  • I highly recommend getting out to a game to see and experience college hockey in person. It's much cheaper than a Bruins ticket (yes, even with BU's prices) and every NCAA prospect will visit Boston - except Colton Hargrove and I think all his TV appearances balances that out.
