Preview:
Tonight on "The Bruins Rampage through the Flortheast" (they are currently 4-1-0 against the Division) we have....the Buffalo Sabres.
The Sabres are a disgrace to the Flortheast, and the Flortheast contains the Panthers! The Sabres have fewer points than anyone in the NHL except the Flyers, and you have to figure Philly will rebound and win a game at some point. The Sabres....not so much.
If you haven't read Servo's fantastic 29 Teams We Hate Piece about our delightfully sad friends in the Queen City (Queen of what, I wonder? Garbage fires and depression? And Cheerios?), it's pretty much required reading today.
Buffalo has three players with more than two total points through 10 games - and shockingly, Thomas Vanek ISN'T leading the way. That would be Cody Hodgson with a whopping TWO goals and FIVE assists. Vanek has three goals, three assists, and Drew Stafford (yes, THAT Drew Stafford) is in third with one goal and two assists. Blind squirrel, meet nut.
On the backend, the Sabres haven't fared much better. Tyler Myers, their defenseman of the ~future~ a few years ago, has morphed into the same brand of crap that construes the rest of that team. Too bad, so sad.
The Bruins should be rolling with the same lines as they had against Tampa, with the possible shuffling of defensemen as usual. Chad Johnson could get a start, perhaps?
NEVER FORGET:
