Preview:
It's the first game back at the Garden since the ECF! The Penguins are 5-5-0 in their last 10, struggling slightly. The Bruins are 7-1-2, only losing in regulation once. For as mad as Tuukka Rask got after that shootout loss to the Blues on Thursday night, it was pretty unwarranted - he and the Bruins are playing lights out right now, and they have a chance to put some distance between themselves and the #2 team in the east right now.
The Penguins recently re-called two kids from the WBS Penguins, presumably to replace Beau Bennettt but possibly also Tanner Glass. The Post-Gazette's got all the deets on that for you here. The team lost their last game, against Montreal - how shameful. If you're curious as to how that game went, I highly encourage a dramatic reading of the Puck Huffers game recap - it's spectacular, as always. I can never get through one of these without giggling awkwardly at work.
Adam McQuaid may not be ready to go yet, so Kevan Miller - it's time to go again, guy, you haven't been awful so that's a plus. California home-grown hockey at its finest right there. With Tres-Cero having gotten the start in Carolina, Tuukka Rask should obviously be the one to go tonight - and Wednesday - and Friday - and probably forever at this point. Johnson could draw CBJ on Saturday, but that's getting ahead of ourselves.
Pens fans are calling for retribution at the Garden tonight as revenge for playoffs, but - meh. It's a regular season game that'd be awesome to win, and that's all.
NEVER FORGET:
Just Krug, getting stuff done as usual
