NCAA

Matt Benning (Northeastern University)

Northeastern won the Shillelagh Tournament after a 1-1 shootout victory (officially recorded as a tie) over Colton Hargrove's Western Michigan and a 3-2 win over hosts Notre Dame. Benning had three shots on the weekend.

Brian Ferlin (Cornell University)

Cornell's lone game this week was the Red Hot Hockey event at Madison Square Garden. In a very unusual game, Cornell lost to Grzelcyk's BU 3-2. Ferlin had six shots and an assist on Cornell's first.

Ryan Fitzgerald (Boston College)

Despite outshooting Holy Cross 38-18, BC suffered a 5-4 loss to the Crusaders, its first ever loss to an opponent in Atlantic Hockey. Ryan Fitzgerald jump-started BC's unsuccessful third period comeback with a goal.

Zane Gothberg (University of North Dakota)

North Dakota split its series against St. Lawrence with a 5-2 loss and a 3-2 win. Gothberg was in net for the victory, stopping 25 of 27. The NoDak goalie carousel continues.

Matt Grzelcyk (Boston University)

BU left MSG with a 3-2 win over Cornell at Ret Hot Hockey after scoring three goals on 11 shots. Grzelcyk had an assist on the game winner.

Colton Hargrove (Western Michigan University)

Western Michigan took part in the Shillelagh Tournament, losing in a shootout to Northeastern (officially a 1-1 tie) and defeating Alabama-Huntsville 1-0 in the consolation game. Hargrove had three shots this weekend.

Rob O'Gara (Yale University)

Yale defeated Merrimack 3-2 in overtime in its lone game this week. O'Gara had the Bulldogs' second goal. He also experienced some pretty terrifying events when Yale's campus was locked down after a gun threat was called in. Most importantly, no one was injured and O'Gara was our man on the streets:

Clarkson played an exhibition game winning 6-2 over Queens. Sexton had the game winner. He also got himself a Christmas tree:

GOJHL

Mitch Dempsey (Kitchener Dutchmen)

This week the Dutchmen defeated Stratford 2-1, Brantford 4-1 and Cambridge 5-4. The team's now won 22 straight games. Dempsey amassed 14 penalty minutes in the first two games, including a game misconduct against Brantford. He did not play against Cambridge as a result.

ECHL

Adam Morrison (South Carolina Stingrays)

The Stingrays were perfect on the week winning 7-0 and 4-0 against Toledo (hi Hannu Toivonen) and 3-2 in overtime against Kalamazoo. Morrison did not see any action again this week as he is still out with an injury.

Linus Arnesson (Djurgardens)

Djurgardens aka Animal Gardens aka Mesta Mästarna, Stockholms Stolthet, split this week's games winning 2-1 over Södertälje and losing 2-1 to Anton Blidh's Karlskrona. Djurgardens sits ninth in the table.

Anton Blidh (Frölunda - on loan at Karlskrona)

Karlskrona won both of this week's games, 6-1 over Timra and 2-1 over Arnesson's Djurgardens. They're currently second in the HockeyAllsvenskan table and are a point out of first with a game in hand.

Peter Cehlarik (Luleå)

Luleå defeated Frölunda 3-2 and lost 2-1 to MODO and 3-2 to Brynäs this week. Cehlarik, now on the third line, contributed an assist in both of the first two games.

Maxim Chudinov (SKA Saint Petersburg)

SKA played one game this week and defeated Atlant Moscow Region 4-1. Chudinov had a goal and an assist in the victory. They remain tops in the KHL and are six points clear.
