Preview:
I have to be honest; every time I look at the Ottawa Senators' lineup and Jean-Gabriel Pageau's name pops up, I instantly stop what I'm doing and start singing the Pageau song. Because honestly - this guy basically single-handedly took the Habs out of the playoffs last year and he deserves gratitude for that.
Ottawa has not been very good as of late! They're 4-3-3 in their last 10 (you milk those loser points, Ottawa) although they did trounce the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in their last match. Erik Karlsson is now beating Torey Krug by TWO WHOLE GOALS in the defenseman scoring race. Get back on your horse, Krug.
Another nice story out of Ottawa recently is the emergence of Cody Ceci, a guy who grew up in Ottawa, played for the Ottawa 67's of the OHL for junior hockey, and scored his first NHL goal in his first NHL game in Ottawa in overtime. It must be awesome to be him.
On the Bruins' side, Niklas Svedberg!!!! will be backing up Tuukka Rask tonight. The theme for this Bruins season should just be "Suddenly: SCANDINAVIA!", I swear. Julien has said that Svedbest should get a start in the next few games - one could imagine that it might even come tomorrow night against Ottawa.
Bartkowski is back in with Warsofsky having been sent to Providence. Get well soon Dougie.
NEVER FORGET:
Pageauuuuu Pageau Pageau Pageauuuuuuuuu
