Preview:
The Bruins have won six of the last eight games against the Panthers, and they're taking that record into BB&T Centre in two hours for the only time this season.
On the Panthers' side, the Cats haven't fared very well at home this season, having lost their last five straight in front of the home crowd. They're coming off a 3-1 loss to the Penguins, which followed a 5-2 win over the Flyers. In that win at Philly, rookie Jonathan Huberdeau made the highlight reels with a nice penalty shot goal:
Huberdeau may well be the bright spot for the Panthers this year. In net, their combination of Jose Theodore and Scott Clemmensen has been subpar, leading to the callup of their rookie goalie Jacob Markstrom. Also playing for the Panthers tonight? Alex Kovalev, who turns 40 today.
On the Bruins' side, things should be business as usual. There will be no changes to the lineup coming off the win in Tampa Bay. It'd be nice to see former Panthers Gregory Campbell, Nathan Horton, and Dennis Seidenberg get on the scoresheet.
Never forget:
Marchand hat trick!
