OH GOD WHY IS OUR DEFENSE SUCH A NUCLEAR TRAIN ABORTION RIGHT NOW. WHAT ARE THESE LINES. LOSE ONE GAME TO THE MAPLE LEAFS AND EVERYTHING GOES TO SHIT
So Saturday's game against the Leafs was pretty unfortunate. The Bruins had pretty good possession numbers, were able to get over thirty shots on goal against Reimer, and held the Leafs to just 13 shots on goal. Unfortunately, Anton Khudobin allowed goals on three of those shots....but whatever, that's water under the bridge, because tonight is a REMATCH. Yeah. Here we go. Or something.
On the Maple Leafs' side of things, we're going to assume that things will pretty much remain the same as Saturday, because if it ain't broke don't fix it. The Bruins, on the other hand, are shaking things up pretty drastically. Look at those lines! Milan Lucic demoted to play with Rich Peverley and Jordan Caron! Daniel Paille on the second line! This does not seem like a super great idea but hey who knows maybe it'll get these guys going.
On defense....yeah, no, switching things up isn't going to make things any less horrendous. Chara-Johnson? Ference-Bartkowski? Off to stab my eyeballs out, brb.
Never forget:
let's watch Saturday's HNIC montage, because no matter what the outcome, these are always fantastic.
