Jarome Iginla Trade: EDIT: JUST KIDDING.

Ray Shero is the worst.

John Grieshop

According to our favorite former Bruins defenseman from 2009 Aaron Ward and everyone's favorite TSN man Bob McKenzie, the Bruins have traded Matt Bartkowski, Alexander khokhlachev, and A CONDITIONAL FIRST ROUND PICK to the Calgary Flames for JAROME IGINLA.

LET THE IGGY ERA BEGIN!

Iginla was scratched in Calgary's game against Colorado tonight, the first game he'd missed since the 2006-2007 season. Bartkowski was scratched tonight as well, as was Khokhlachev in Providence.

Bartkowski was acquired by the Bruins along with Dennis Seidenberg in 2010 for Byron Bitz, Craig Weller, and a 2nd round pick. In 56 games for Providence this year, he has three goals and 21 assists. Khokhlachev was drafted by the Bruins in the second round in 2011, 40th overall. After starting the season in the KHL, where he had two goals and five assists in 26 games, he transferred back to the OHL, where he had 22 goals and 26 assists in 29 games for the Windsor Spitfires.

Iginla has played 1219 games for the Calgary Flames. In that time, he has 525 goals and 570 assists, or 1095 points. Iginla was formerly teammates with the Bruins' Andrew Ference.

It remains to be seen how he meshes with the team, but adding Iginla makes the Bruins even more of a threat to come strong out of the East.

fuck you, Ray Shero.
