Thiessen, Penguins force Game 7 with 2-1 OT win
The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins forced a decisive seventh game with an overtime victory against the Providence Bruins Monday night at the Dunkin Donuts Center. Trevor Smith scored the game-winning goal and Brad Thiessen stopped 46 shots.

The Providence Bruins took a commanding two-games-to-zero series lead over the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins with a 4-2 victory Saturday night at the Dunkin Donuts Center. Jamie Tardif and Chris Bourque were the offensive heroes for the Bruins.

According to Mark Divver of the Providence Journal, both Providence coach Bruce Cassidy and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton coach John Hynes have submitted clips to be reviewed by the league office for possible supplemental discipline.

Physical game could bring supplemental discipline
The Providence Bruins won the first game of the best-of-seven Eastern Conference Semifinals over the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, 8-5, Friday night at the Dunkin Donuts Center. The two teams combined for 86 penalty minutes in the game.

Zach Trotman will replace Matt Bartkowski on the blue line for the Providence Bruins as they start round two of Calder Cup Playoffs against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. Jared Knight will also be inserted into the lineup replacing Graham Mink.

Bartkowski recalled by Boston to replace Redden
Matt Bartkowski was recalled by the Boston Bruins to replace Wade Redden. He has been one of the best defenseman for the Providence Bruins. Bruce Cassidy's Providence team will move on without him tonight against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in 2nd Round.
