Welcome back to the TD Garden, folks - preseason proper is here, and with it, the preseason debut of Zdeno Chara and Gregory Campbell. It's good to see Chara getting his first ice time against the Detroit Red Wings - a team that really, as a collective, Bruins fans need to start hating a lot more. More on that later in our 29 Teams We Hate series.

Bruins fans will get their first in-person look at Jarome Iginla tonight, on his probably-permanent line with Milan Lucic and David Krejci. In addition, Rob Flick will play in his first preseason game, likely in place of Shawn Thornton on the fourth line with Daniel Paille and Gregory Campbell. It's too bad Carter Camper isn't playing tonight; it'd be fun to show off the C3 line from last year's Providence team, with Jordan Caron and Craig Cunningham on Camper's wings. Instead, we may get to see Ryan Spooner center those two, with Carl Soderberg centering Mark Fraser and Nick Johnson.

On D, Zach Trotman will get another long look, and the three players competing for the last two roster spots will also get their chance to shine alongside Adam McQuaid and Zdeno Chara. In goal, Chad Johnson will get an opportunity to bounce back from his poor showing against Montreal, with Malcolm Subban waiting in the wings to relieve him at the halfway point.

The Bruins will face some of the Red Wings' top talent tonight, including a line of Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Abdelkader. Daniel Alfredsson will not play due to some groin issues.
