Jarmo's Juggernaut: Former Bruin GMs BlueJackets to franchise record hot streak

This post was, yes, born out of discussion in the morning skate. I figured it was just interesting enough to be its own post. Anyhow, last night Columbus set a franchise record by beating the LA Kings 5-3. In case you're wondering, here's the breakdown of win streaks for the Columbus franchise, by year:

  • 00-01: 4 win streak
  • 01-03: 3 wins longest streak in two years
  • 03-04: 4 win streak
  • 05-06: 6 win streak
  • 06-07: 5 win streak
  • 07-08: 4 win streak
  • 08-09: 4 win streak (3 times! This was their playoff year!)
  • 09-10: 3 wins longest streak
  • 10-11: 5 win streak
  • 11-12: 4 win streak
  • 12-13: 5 win streak (2 times!)
  • 13-14: 7 win streak (and counting!)

What a ride it's been for Columbus. Happy for their fans. Here's their schedule for the next few games:

  1. Philadelphia Flyers
  2. Buffalo Sabres
  3. @ Carolina Hurricanes
  4. Ottawa Senators
  5. Washington Capitals
  6. Florida Panthers
  7. @ Anaheim Ducks
  8. @ Los Angeles Kings
  9. @ San Jose Sharks
  10. @ New Jersey Devils

How many more do they have in them?
