Bruins Prospects Roundup Week 13

BU

The week of December 30 - January 5

NCAA

Matt Benning (Northeastern University)

Northeastern drew 8-8 against Dartmouth and won 4-3 against UMass this week. They came from behind in both games, including erasing a 8-4 deficit in the first game. Benning had two assists against Dartmouth. He also, miraculously, was not on the ice for any of Dartmouth's six even strength goals.

BC defeated Notre Dame 4-3 at Fenway Park. Fitzgerald did not register a point, but he is third on the team in goals and fourth in points. Not bad for a freshman.

Zane Gothberg (University of North Dakota)

North Dakota played a couple of exhibitions against Canadian teams, a 3-2 OT loss to British Columbia and a 4-3 win over Simon Fraser. Gothberg got the start both nights and stopped 35 of 41. Here's a nice feature on him from College Hockey News.

BU lost to Harvard 7-4. Tough week for Grzelcyk, but he did manage two power play assists in the contest. Nice to see him score for his school. By the way, Corey Pronman has him in the conversation for the WJC all-tournament team.

Linus Arnesson (Djurgardens)

Djurgardens aka Animal Gardens aka Mesta Mästarna, Stockholms Stolthet, defeated Mora 4-3 this week. Arnesson, meanwhile, was winning hardware for Sweden. Unfortunately, it wasn't the precise one. No shame in silver.
